A New Year’s Surprise: Faux Effects World
Who doesn’t love a New Year’s surprise? I was recently asked to write an article for the latest issue of Faux Effects World magazine, and I decided to go behind the scenes to cover a new favorite: the home theatre.
The home theatre/media room has gone from being a luxury for Hollywood icons to being a core part of home designs, made possible by affordable big screens, technological advancements and vast media options.

Anything But Plain Wins! 2011 ASID Design Awards
We are so proud! Our work has garnered 5 awards at the 2011 American Society Of Interior Designers (ASID) Awards Gala held this past weekend. It’s such an honor to be recognized for our work, especially since this is the first year that the ASID has opened competition categories to feature the work of artisans and tradespeople.
We are feeling pretty special (and smiling a lot too)! The work was certainly diverse…that’s because our designers keep suggesting such creative ideas. The end result is a reflection of that creative process. It’s fun to make their visions come to life.
